AkiraBot, an AI-Powered Spam Bot, Evades CAPTCHA to Target 80,000 Websites

AkiraBot, a Python framework capable of bypassing CAPTCHA, has sent AI-generated spam messages to over 80,000 websites, primarily targeting small and medium-sized businesses. According to researchers from SentinelOne’s SentinelLabs, AkiraBot targets website chats and contact forms to promote low-quality SEO services. Since September, AkiraBot has targeted over 400,000 websites and successfully spammed at least 80,000 of them.
